A set of educational and specialised resources, such as e-learning lessons, assessment questions and immersive 3D tools are available on the exclusive UPILOT® online platform.

On the strength of experience gained in partnership with its customers, POMA’s operational sites and the union of French operators, the resources have been tested and cover all uses of ropeway transport: ski areas, tourist sites or urban transport.

Face-to-face or distance training

The Group’s professional experts facilitate face-to-face training sessions in POMA centres or on-site. Custom-developed on targeted topics, these sessions address all the specific problems and needs of operation and maintenance. Some of the lessons are also suitable for distance training using video conferencing and via the UPILOT® platform.

3D immersive gondola lift simulator

It allows operators to quickly grasp the right everyday practices such as emergency situations, even before the ropeway system is commissioned. The immersive technology means learning is 10 times faster and more efficient.

Since 2016, bodies such as the French association of ski areas, AFPA and the Vaucanson technical college have been using POMA teaching materials to deliver their courses on ropeway transport systems.
