The project

Miami International Airport (MIA) is one of the busiest airports in the world; it is the prime gateway between the U.S. and LatinAmerica.
The airport MiniMetro® designed by POMA connects two terminals and replaces the self-powered system installed in 1980. The fully automatic, driverless MiniMetro® operates using a reversible system on pneumatic tyres to link up the main terminal and terminal E. Two three-carrier trains carry 5,600 passengers per hour.

In order to produce this APM (Automated People Mover), the system had to be adapted in existing buildings and viaducts.

Simplicity of infrastructure, optimal management of passenger flows, low pollution level, silent operation, low maintenance and operation costs, and a high safety level have made this system a success.

Le Praz

With the two new gondola lift systems for Les Grangettes and Le Praz, the Société des 3 Vallées is entering a new era. Aside from being useful for the skiing area, these facilities earn the company a place on the list of urban transport operators.

With their long opening hours, they will provide a constant connection between Courchevel’s various levels, thereby reducing the number of buses, which are outmoded, slow, polluting and uncomfortable.

This is a strategic focus for the Société des 3 Vallées, in its development in the Courchevel valley and beyond.

Now, the centre of Courchevel is just 3 minutes from Courchevel Village using the Les Grangettes gondola lift, and 6 minutes from Le Praz using the Le Praz gondola lift.
